Root Canal Treatment
Endodontic Apical Surgery
Endodontic Apical Surgery is usually recommended when a traditional root canal treatment has already been performed on a tooth but isn’t sufficient to preserve the tooth and prevent further complications. It is the last resort to preserve the tooth.
Dentists need to operate through a microscope to delicately remove the infected and necrotic root tip and place a root filling to prevent bacteria from entering to preserve the tooth. Before undergoing apical surgery, patients should be examined and diagnosed by a dentist to assess the need for surgical treatment.
